By accessing or using CiteShield ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

CiteShield provides legal citation verification services. Our Service analyzes legal documents to identify and verify citations, helping legal professionals ensure accuracy in their filings.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating an account
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not upload documents containing malware or harmful code
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service

4. Payment Terms

CiteShield operates on a pay-per-document basis. Prices are displayed before each verification and are based on document length. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds may be available for failed verifications at our discretion.

5. Data Handling

Uploaded documents are automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload. Verification reports are retained for your access but can be deleted upon request. We do not share your documents with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. While we strive for accuracy, CiteShield does not guarantee that all citations will be correctly verified. Users should always perform their own due diligence before filing legal documents.

7. Limitation of Liability

CiteShield shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the past twelve months.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
